Finding the right commercial air conditioning system

We can design and install air conditioning systems that are ideal for almost any business type, and the first job is always to decide on the most appropriate type of system. We can help by offering advice and recommendation for the most appropriate type of system for your premises. The main systems are:

Single split

A single split air conditioner is the most affordable, simple, and – usually – straightforward to install. Designed for use in a single room, it consists of an external unit and an internal unit, connected via piping and wires, with no need for ducting. The external unit houses the compressor, condenser, and expansion coils, and the internal unit delivers the air. Modern units generally offer both heating and cooling. These are idea for smaller commercial spaces and individual offices.

Multi split

Multi split units are similar to single split units, but feature multiple internal units connected to a single, larger external unit. These systems offer better energy efficiency than multiple single split systems, but are more complex and expensive to install. This initial expense is often offset by efficiency cost savings over time. Multi split systems are ideal for larger commercial spaces with multiple rooms or floors.

VRF/VRV

Variant Refrigerant Volume or Variant Refrigerant Flow systems are similar to single and multi split systems, but use multiple smaller air handlers inside, rather than a single large internal unit. Because the volume (or flow) of refrigerant to these air handlers can be varied, it makes the system extremely versatile. They also offer the option to channel excess heat from one area to other areas where it can be used, making them extremely energy efficient.
